The 2nd Africa HepatoPancreatoBiliary Cancers Consortium (AHPBCC) Annual Conference will be held at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana on August 23rd-26th, 2023. This year, the Consortium will be collaborating with the Ghana Association for the Study of Liver and Digestive Diseases (GASLIDD). This event will convene a global, multi-disciplinary audience, including the scientific, medical, and academic communities; industry partners, advocates and patients who represent a diversity of perspectives. The meeting is the second of three meetings that are partially sponsored through an R13 grant award from the NCI.
We anticipate 200 attendees from Africa, Europe, and the United States including established researchers and clinicians, and early career investigators in Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Oncology, Virology, Pathology, Radiology, Genetics, Allied Healthcare, Palliative Care, and others invested in the field of HPB Cancers.
Faculty will present their research, discuss available resources, technologies, expertise, and patient recruitment capabilities at their individual sites, and formalize discussions for cross-ethnic and cross-national multidisciplinary studies into the etiology, biology, and prognosis of hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers.
In addition, attendees will participate in pre-conference workshops, keynote presentations, themed sessions, poster presentations, exhibit hall displays by sponsors and non-profit partners, and many other networking opportunities.
The Conference will be open to individuals of all ages, genders, races, religions, ethnicities, and country of origin who have interest in HepatoPancreatoBiliary cancer research.
